1、无轴封、无泄漏、流道宽敞，所以输送含颗粒，高粘度（粘度可达1万厘泊），易挥发和腐蚀性介质时，不会造成环境污染和危害人身安全。
2、无旋转部件，通过性能好，允许通过颗粒直径达10mm。液体无剪切流动，泵自身部件磨损小。对输送物损伤小，可输送污泥和生命体如小鱼苗之类。
3、不需灌引水，自吸能力强，吸程高达7m，长时间干呼吸，对泵不损坏。一旦超负荷，泵便会自动停机，负荷恢复正常时，能自动启动运行，具有自我保护功能（电动泵无此功能）。
4、扬程达50m，电动泵达30m，出口压力可达0.6mpa。扬程、流量可通过气阀开度实现无级调节，气压调节在1-7kgf/cm2之间电动泵无此功能，进口需装调节阀控制。
5、可以浸没在介质中工作，无电源通过，安全可靠（电动泵无此性能）。
