学性质  本品是一种无色高粘稠液体。溶于水，乙醇，有吸湿性，不溶于苯，丙酮。与pH值低于2.4的硫酸相遇均会产生沉淀。水溶液呈阳电荷，加入甲醛产生凝聚。
用途  用作未施胶的呼吸性纸的湿强剂，抄纸过程中的助留剂和打浆剂可降低纸浆的打浆度。提高纸张脱水能力。使纸干度提高1%～4%。生产能力提高5%～20%。
