破渣机是位于气化炉激冷室底部与锁斗之间用来破碎特大的炉渣、搭桥的粉煤灰或脱落的耐火砖,以保证气化炉能长期顺利排渣及连续运行的关键设备。破渣机的动力装置（液压及破碎系统）为破渣机排渣、连续运行提供长周期运转的动力。
