Introduction:
It is a Over Frequency Relay. It is best suitable for monitoring supply over frequency or generator over speed. It is used in single phase system supply, where Over Frequency monitoring or protection is required. It can be Rail mounted & have individually settable over frequency settings, thus increasing their utility as entire System Protection Relays. Added facility of adjustable Trip Time Delay and Power-ON Delay has also be provided, alongwith separate indications. It can be used as over speed monitor of DG sets.
