氮气机的制取是以空气为原料,将其中的氧和氮气分离而获得,通常难以同其它物质发生化学反应,表现为很大的惰性,被广泛用于保护气体。

氮气机原理:主要是应用变压吸附原理进行氧、氮分离。碳分子筛是属于速度分离型的吸附剂,当吸附质的性质相差不大时,直径较小的气体分子扩散速度较快,较多的进入分子筛的固相,而直径较大的气体分子扩散速度较慢,较少的进入分子筛的固相,根据碳分子筛的微孔结构特点,当空气进入碳分子筛时,分子直径比氮(3A)稍小的氧(2.8 A)以较快的速度扩散进入碳分子筛孔道,并优先被选择吸附,在吸附初始的短时间内,氧迅速富集于碳分子筛颗粒内部,而氮则因未来得及被吸附,在气相中富集,将其收集于贮罐即制得所需氮。碳分子筛具有加压对氧的吸附量增加,减压时对氧的吸附量减小的特性,因此PSA采用A、B两个吸附塔轮流循环工作,流程由PLC可编程控制器进行自动控制。
