PENNINGVAC-Transmitters PTR are active sensors （pressure to voltage converters） with old cathode sensors based on the principle of the inverted Penning. Here the pressure is measured through a gas discharge within a gauge head whereby the gas discharge is ignited by applying a high tension. The resulting ion current is output as a signal which is proportional to the prevailing pressure. These sensors offer a wide measurement range of 10^-9 to 10^-2mbar （0.75·10^-9 to 0.75·10^-2 Torr）.

莱宝真空计（Vacuum Gauge），又称规，是测量真空度或气压的仪器。一般是利用不同气压下气体的某种物理效应的变化进行气压的测量。在科研和工业生产中广泛使用。

按照真空计测量原理所利用的不同的物理机制，可将主要的真空计分为三大类，分别是利用力学性能、利用气体动力学效应和利用带电粒子效应的真空计。

利用力学性能的真空计典型的有波尔登规（Bourdon）和薄膜电容规；利用气体动力学效应的典型真空计有皮拉尼（Pirani）电阻规和热电偶规；利用带电粒子效应的典型真空计有热阴极电离规和冷阴极电离规。
